I'm a 25 year old Country gal who not so recently moved to The Big City (ok, so it's not so much a City but a very large town. In Surrey. But who can blame me for embellishing? I was trying to go for a punchy opening.)
I'm an independent woman as long as I have my cat, my mum and some tasty snacks to keep me going. My cats name is Ferris, he is adorable with a large side helping of strange- a bundle of lunatic tendencies. I'm sure I will blog about him quite a bit, he drives me crazy but at the same time is so cute I want to eat him. (Don't worry, I wont.)
I love to bake. I hate cleaning up after the baking. My boyfriend loves me for the cakes, hates me for the mess. I say, you gotta take the good with the bad and cake is just so good! Baking is one of the reasons why I started this blog, so I could share my triumphs and tragedies and perhaps provide some amusement along the way.
My boyfriend is a chef. This sounds great on paper but unfortunately I am never the recipient of his amazing food, unless I go and pay for it. It's a good job that I also really enjoy cooking- I'm always very flattered when Jay uses my recipes at his work. I figure that means that he should be flattered when I poach his recipes and share them with you!
I have a lot of other interests and love trying new things. Sea fishing, clay pigeon shooting, mending things (it was a proud moment when I single-handedly fixed my oven), beauty products, knitting. The list goes on. I'm quite a creative person and I thank my mum for this who seems to have the Midas touch with everything she does. I'm really looking forward to blogging about everything I get up to.
I've never blogged before so I'm intrigued (and excited) to see where this is all heading. I figure that I'm just going to have some fun and hopefully (fingers, toes and all other appendages crossed) someone else out there might enjoy my yabberings.
